What happens to your information

Short version: the only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form, and it is only ever used to reply to you.

Who is responsible

Nerthol is a web design studio based in South Wales. If you have a question about your information, email nerthol.studio@gmail.com.

What is collected

When you send the contact form, you give us your name, your email address and which of the three options you picked. If you choose to fill them in, you also give us your business name and a short note. Both are optional and the form sends fine without them. Nothing else is collected, and there is nothing hidden in the form.

The message is passed to Resend, the email service that carries it to our inbox, and then it sits in our email. It’s used to answer your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run that project. It’s never sold and never passed to anyone for marketing.

This site is hosted by Vercel, who deliver the pages to your browser and therefore handle your connection to it. That includes the technical logs described below.

The words and pictures on this site are stored by Sanity, the system we use to keep websites up to date. That’s ordinary page content rather than anything about you. On sites where a business publishes customer reviews, the name and words in a review are stored there too. So if you’ve given a business a review to put on their website, that’s where it lives.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Nobody is being followed around the internet on our account. That’s also why there is no cookie banner. There would be nothing for you to consent to.

Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages keep short-term technical logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and reliability. Those are Vercel’s, not ours.

How long it is kept

Enquiries stay in our email so we have a record of the conversation. If you’d like yours deleted, ask and it’s gone.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address above and we’ll sort it out. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
